Today we depart Dades Gorge and head to Todra Gorge, a dramatic canyon popular with nature and adventure lovers. We then drive through the Ziz Valley toward Erfoud, an oasis town famous for fossils and considered the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Here, you may visit a local workshop that creates decorative and handmade items from fossils, with the option to purchase souvenirs.
Next, we continue to Rissani to explore its traditional souk before driving toward Merzouga. At the desert edge, we leave the vehicle and start a camel trek across the golden dunes, guided by experienced locals. We arrive at the Merzouga desert camp where you will spend the night in traditional Berber tents. The evening features a traditional dinner under the stars, followed by Berber music around the campfire.
