Day 1: From Casablanca to Fes via Rabat – Start of the Journey

We begin by picking up travelers from their accommodation in Casablanca after breakfast. Along the way, we will visit the Hassan II Mosque, located by the Atlantic Ocean, one of the largest mosques in the world and a marvel of modern Moroccan architecture.

Upon arrival in Rabat, the administrative capital of Morocco, we will visit the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Hassan Tower, a 12th-century minaret. If time permits, we will make a brief stop in Meknes to photograph the famous Bab Mansour gate, renowned for its decoration and grandeur, before continuing to Fes, where we will stay in a traditional riad in the medina.

Day 2: From Fes to the Merzouga Desert

Departing from Fes, we will make our first stop in Ifrane, a charming alpine town with clean streets and European-style architecture. We will continue to the cedar forests of Azrou to see the Barbary monkeys and enjoy the fresh mountain air. After a lunch stop in Midelt, we will travel through the Ziz Valley, with panoramic views of palm groves and traditional kasbahs.

We will arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon, where we will switch to camels to venture into the Erg Chebbi dunes and enjoy the sunset over the desert. We will spend the night in a traditional Berber camp, with a typical dinner, music, and stargazing.

Day 3: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

We will start the day with sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. Then, we will head to the Todra Gorge near Tinghir, featuring stunning limestone cliffs up to 300 meters high and a short walk through the narrow passage. We will continue to the Dades Valley, traveling along winding roads, ancient kasbahs, and scenic views showcasing the natural beauty of southern Morocco, where we will spend the night.

Day 4: Dades Valley – Marrakech via Ouarzazate

We will start the day in Kalaat Mgouna, known as the “Rose Capital,” surrounded by fragrant fields and artisan workshops. Next, we will visit Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa,” exploring the Taourirt Kasbah and the Atlas Film Studios.

We will continue to the village of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, famous for its clay kasbah featured in numerous films. We will cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas, enjoying spectacular views of mountains and Berber villages. Finally, we will arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon, concluding this 4-day tour, with transfer to your riad or hotel.
