Day 1: Fez – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga

Our private tour begins with a departure towards the Atlas Mountains, making a stop in the charming town of Ifrane, where we can stroll through the famous cedar forest, home to Barbary monkeys. After lunch en route, we continue across the Atlas while enjoying the spectacular landscapes of Midelt until reaching the Ziz Valley. Finally, we proceed to Merzouga, where we will spend the night in a local riad.

Day 2: Merzouga Desert Tour and Camel Ride

This day will be dedicated to exploring the desert region and the Erg Chebbi dunes. We will learn about the lifestyle of the nomads and admire the striking landscape contrasts. We will visit the village of Khamlia to enjoy Gnawa music and taste an authentic Berber pizza in the historic town of Rissani. In the afternoon, we will take a camel excursion to watch the sunset over the dunes and spend the night in a desert camp, with a traditional tagine dinner, mint tea, and Berber music around the campfire under the starry Sahara sky.

Day 3: Merzouga – Dades Gorges

At sunrise, we will watch the sun rise before heading to a hotel for breakfast and freshening up. We continue the journey towards Ouarzazate, passing through Berber villages and visiting the impressive Todra and Dades Gorges. Accommodation will be in a traditional hotel in the Dades Valley.

Day 4: Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

After breakfast, we continue the route towards Ouarzazate along the famous Thousand Kasbahs Road. We will stop in Kalaat Mgouna, known as the heart of the Valley of Roses, famous for its annual festival. We then proceed to the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and filming location for movies like Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator, as well as the series Game of Thrones. Finally, we cross the Tizi n Tichka mountain pass to reach Marrakech, where the tour concludes.
