16-Day Morocco Tour Itinerary from Casablanca

Day 1: Airport – Casablanca

Our 16-day private tour begins with a transfer from the airport to your hotel in Casablanca, where you will enjoy a welcome meal. Depending on your arrival time, you may visit sites such as the Hassan II Mosque, the Morocco Mall, and the nearby beach area.

DAY 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes

After visiting the Hassan II Mosque, we will depart for Rabat, the capital of the country, where we will explore the Royal Palace, the Chellah ruins, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the Hassan Tower, and the medina souks. We will then continue to Meknes for dinner at a local restaurant in front of Bab el Mansour gate.

DaY 3: Meknes – Volubilis – Fes

From Meknes, we will go to explore the Roman ruins of Volubilis and then continue to Fes, where we will spend the night in a traditional riad or hotel.

Day 4: Exploring Fes

We will dedicate the day to exploring Morocco’s oldest city, wandering through its narrow streets and visiting the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish quarter (Mellah), the University of Al Qaraouine, the tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss. After lunch, we will visit local cooperatives and finish with a panoramic view of the medina before returning to the riad.

DaY 5: Fes – Midelt – Er Rachidia – Erfoud

We will depart toward the Atlas Mountains, passing through Ifrane and the cedar forests home to the Barbary monkeys. We will cross the Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the Ziz Valley to reach Midelt, then continue to Er Rachidia, finally arriving at the town of Erfoud, where we will spend the night.

DAY 6: Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga

After breakfast, we will head to Rissani for lunch and then continue to Merzouga. In the afternoon, we will take a walk among the Erg Chebbi dunes, and at sunset, we will arrive at the desert camp to enjoy the sunset and spend the night in Berber tents.

Day 7: Merzouga Desert Excursion

In a 4×4, we will explore caves with fossils and visit Tissrdmin, the setting for several films. We will cross the Black Desert with its volcanic stones and share tea with a Tuareg family. We will also discover the nomadic lifestyle and visit the village of Khamlia to enjoy its Gnawa music. Lunch will be a Berber pizza in Rissani, and at sunset we will ride camels to watch the sun go down, followed by another magical night at the desert camp under the stars.

Day 8: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorge

At sunrise, we will watch the sun rise over the dunes, and after breakfast, we will depart for Tinghir to reach the impressive Todra Gorge. After lunch, we will continue through the Dades Valley, famous for its rock formations known as the Monkey Fingers, and spend the night in the valley.

Day 9: Dades Gorge – Ouarzazate

We will continue along the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs, stopping at Kalaat Mgouna, famous for its Rose Festival. Then, we will visit the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a filming location for movies and series. We will cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass to reach Marrakech, where we will spend the night.

DaY 10: Ouarzazate – Taroudant

We will travel to Taroudant, a Berber city known for its handicrafts and its peaceful atmosphere, reminiscent of Marrakech. Overnight stay in a local riad or hotel.

DaY 11: Taroudant – Tafraoute – Agadir

From Taroudant, we will continue to Tafraoute, surrounded by granite formations, and then proceed to Agadir for an overnight stay.

Day 12: Tangier City Tour

We will continue to the Atlantic coast to Essaouira, the Pearl of the Atlantic. In the afternoon, we will explore its city walls and the blue-and-white medina. Enjoy a fresh fish dinner and a stroll through the city.

Day 13: Free Day in Essaouira

You will have time to explore Essaouira at your own pace, enjoy its fishing port, seafood restaurants, and cultural atmosphere with music festivals.

DAY 14: Essaouira – Marrakech

After breakfast, we will depart for Marrakech, where we will spend the night in a riad or hotel.

Day 15: Guided Tour of Marrakech

We will take a tour of Jemaa el-Fna Square, the Koutoubia Mosque, the souks, palaces, and museums, as well as the Menara and Majorelle gardens and the modern Gueliz district.

DAY 16: Marrakech – Casablanca

After breakfast, you will have free time before returning to Marrakech or Casablanca, arriving in the afternoon to conclude the tour.
