From Meknes, we will head to visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis before continuing to Fes, where we will spend the night in a local riad or hotel.

We will start the day exploring Morocco’s oldest city, wandering through its narrow streets. We will visit the gate of the Royal Palace, followed by the Jewish quarter where the first Mellah in Morocco was built in the 16th century. We will explore all sites of cultural and historical interest, including the famous University of Al Qaraouine, the oldest in the region. We will also visit the tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss. After lunch, we will visit several local cooperatives and enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the entire Fes medina before ending the night at your Riad.
DaY 5: Fes – Midelt – Er-Rachidia – Erfoud
The day begins with a journey toward the Atlas Mountains, stopping in the town of Ifrane, where we will explore the famous cedar forest, home to the Barbary monkeys. We will continue through the Tiz Ntalghamt Mountain Pass and the Ziz Gorge (where we can stop for photos and lunch) toward Midelt. From Midelt, we will proceed through the Ziz Valley to Er-Rachidia in the southern province, before retiring to the traditional town of Erfoud, where we will spend the night.
DaY 6: Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga
After breakfast, we will depart for Rissani, where we will stop for lunch before continuing to Merzouga in the afternoon, staying at a local hotel with a restaurant and swimming pool. Before sunset, you can take a walk among the nearby Erg Chebbi dunes. From there, it takes approximately 90 minutes to reach the camp, where we will enjoy a beautiful sunset over the dunes and, once night falls, spend the night in Berber tents in the desert.
Day 7: Merzouga Desert Tour
After breakfast and a refreshing swim in the pool, we will travel by 4×4 to nearby caves with natural fossils. Then we will visit the small, ancient village of Tissrdmin, a location featured in many films. We will pass through the Black Desert, named for its volcanic stones, where we will share tea with a local Tuareg family. We will explore the desert area around the Erg Chebbi dunes, observing the nomadic lifestyle and the stunning desert contrasts. Next, we will visit the village of Khamlia, enjoying Gnawa music. For lunch, we will savor a traditional Berber pizza in the ancient capital of Rissani. In the afternoon, we will ride camels to watch the sunset over the dunes and spend the night in the camp. Day 8: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorge
We will start early to watch the sunrise over the dunes before arriving at a local hotel to freshen up. After breakfast, we will head through Rissani and Tinghir toward the Todra Gorge, the tallest and narrowest gorge in Morocco.
