3-Day Morocco Tour Itinerary from Fez

DAY 1: Fez – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga

The private tour begins with a journey through the Atlas Mountains, stopping in the town of Ifrane to explore the famous cedar forest, home to the Barbary monkeys. We continue through the Tiz Ntalghamt mountain pass and the Ziz Gorge, where we can stop for photos and enjoy a local mint tea, before reaching Midelt. Next, we travel through the Ziz Valley, Erfoud, and Rissani, arriving at the Erg Chebbi desert dunes, where we will spend the night in a small local Riad.

Day 2: Merzouga Desert Tour

On this day, we will explore the desert region around the Erg Chebbi dunes. We will have the opportunity to learn about the nomadic lifestyle and enjoy the unique contrasts of the desert. We will visit the black village of Khamlia and experience the rhythm of Gnawa music. For lunch, we will taste an authentic Berber-style pizza in the ancient city of Rissani. In the afternoon, we will take a camel ride over the dunes and spend the night at a desert camp.

DAY 3: Merzouga – Midelt – Fez

After breakfast, we will begin the return journey to Fez, making a stop to walk through the Azrou forest, where, if we are lucky, we may see wild monkeys. Before concluding the 3-day tour, we will stop for lunch in Midelt, a city known for its minerals.
