This private six-day tour starts in Fes and takes us through the landscapes of the Atlas Mountains to the Sahara Desert. We will visit the city of Ifrane and the cedar forests of Azrou, home to the Barbary monkeys, before crossing the Ziz Gorge and arriving in Merzouga to spend the first night in a local riad.

DAY 1: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga

Our private tour begins with a journey to the Atlas Mountains, stopping in the town of Ifrane to explore the famous cedar forest, home to Barbary monkeys. We continue across the Tiz Ntalghamt mountain pass and the Ziz Gorge, where we can stop for photos and enjoy local mint tea, before reaching Midelt. From there, we proceed to Merzouga, where we will end the day with dinner and spend the night in a local riad.

Day 2: Merzouga Desert – Camel Ride to the Camp

Today we will explore the desert region around the Erg Chebbi dunes. You will have the opportunity to experience the nomads’ lifestyle and the unique desert contrasts. We will visit the black village of Khamlia to enjoy Gnawa music. For lunch, we will taste a traditional Berber pizza in the historic town of Rissani. In the afternoon, we will ride camels to watch the sunset over the dunes and spend the night in a desert camp, with a traditional tagine dinner, mint tea, and Berber music around the campfire under the starry Sahara sky.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorge

We will wake up early and head to a local hotel where you can freshen up and enjoy a included breakfast before continuing towards Ouarzazate. Along the way, we will visit Berber villages and the impressive Todra and Dades Gorges. We will spend the night in the Dades Gorge at a local hotel with dinner included.

DAY 4: Gorge Dades – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, we will continue our tour towards Ouarzazate along the Thousand Kasbahs Route, stopping in Kalaat Mgouna, the heart of the Valley of Roses, famous for its annual rose festival. We will overnight at a local hotel.

DAY 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech

We will continue to the UNESCO World Heritage site, the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, famous as a filming location for Hollywood movies such as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and the series Game of Thrones. Then, we will cross the Tizi-n-Tichka mountain pass to Marrakech, where we will spend
