8-Day Morocco Tour Itinerary from Casablanca

DAY 1: Casablanca – Fes

The private tour begins with pickup from your hotel in Casablanca, followed by a visit to the city’s main cultural sites before departing for Fes, where we will spend the night in a riad or hotel.

Day 2: Fes – Guided Tour

We will explore Morocco’s oldest city, wandering through its narrow streets and alleys. Visits include the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish quarter where the first Mellah was built in the 16th century, the Al Qaraouine University, the tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss. In the afternoon, we will visit local cooperatives and enjoy a panoramic view of the entire medina before returning to the riad.

DAY 3: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga

After breakfast, we depart for Merzouga, crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains and passing through Ifrane and the cedar forests of Azrou, where you can feed the Barbary monkeys. We will stop in Midelt for lunch and continue through the Ziz Valley to Erfoud and Rissani, exploring its local market, before arriving in Merzouga to spend the night at a hotel.

Day 4: Merzouga Desert

We will spend the day exploring the desert and the Erg Chebbi dunes in a 4×4, experiencing the life of the Berber nomads. We will visit the village of Khamlia to enjoy Gnawa music and have a Berber pizza lunch in Rissani. In the afternoon, we will take a camel ride to watch the sunset and spend the night at a camp with a traditional dinner, mint tea, and music under the starry Sahara sky.

Day 5: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorge

Early in the morning, we will watch the sunrise over the desert and return by camel to the village. Then we depart for Tinghir to visit the Todra Gorge, the tallest and narrowest gorge in Morocco, where we can take a walk. After lunch, we continue to the Dades Gorge to admire its unique rock formations known as the “Monkey Fingers” and spend the night in a local hotel or riad.

DAY 6: Dades – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

We will depart for Ouarzazate following the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs, with a stop in Kalaat Mgouna, the heart of the Valley of Roses, for lunch. We will visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou before crossing the Tizi-n-Tichka pass to Marrakech, where we will spend the night in a riad or hotel.

Day 7: Marrakech – Guided Tour

We will tour Marrakech with a guide, visiting Jemaa el-Fna Square, the Koutoubia Mosque, the souks, palaces, museums, and modern areas such as Gueliz, as well as the Menara and Majorelle Gardens.

DAY 8: Marrakech – Casablanca

Depending on your flight schedule, you can explore less touristy areas of Marrakech and enjoy a local lunch before being transferred to your hotel or the airport, concluding the tour.
